Linda Harmon
Linda A. Harmon is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Hampton University and has earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Management. Ms. Harmon has 25 years of event planning experience. Ms. Harmon also has 24 years in local government work experience. Linda was employed with the City of Portsmouth for 14 years in the Human Services and Finance divisions.
Linda has been employed with the City of Chesapeake since 2000 and in January of 2006 Linda joined the sales team at the Chesapeake Conference Center. Linda is responsible for the social market which includes Weddings, Birthday Celebrations, Anniversaries, Fraternities, Sororities, Fashion Shows, Bridal Showers and Baby Showers. Linda loves the fact that a client comes in with a vision for their event and working with the staff we are able to make their dream a reality.
In her spare time she may be found in any bridal store becoming updated on the themes and colors for the seasons or browsing through bridal magazines. Knowing this information prior to meeting potential clients reflects her awareness of the latest details that will help to create some beautiful memories and to give their guests something to talk about. Linda is a professional, dedicated, educated, and skilled sales manager and is ready to assist clients with their planned events.
In addition to working Linda loves serving God through the ministries at Grove Baptist Church and is also a seamstress. She is the oldest of 7 siblings and a proud auntie to 21 nieces and nephews. She is a member of the Conference of Minority Public Administrators and also a member of the Executive Women International organization.
